University of Connecticut - Wilbur Cross

Wilbur Cross was Governor of Connecticut for 8 years. The Wilbur Cross building on the University of Connecticut campus was the first campus library, built with bond revenues authorized during Cross’ governorship. The building opened in 1939, and later named for Cross in 1942.

This building is widely recognized as the cornerstone of the Storrs campus.
