Philadelphia Phillies: 2008 World Champions

The Phillies are the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of American professional sports. They have won two World Series Championships – one this year (over the Tampa Bay Rays) and another in 1980. Since 2004, the team’s home has been Citizens Bank Park in the South Philadelphia section of the city.
